Outlook and Outlook Express Tutorial

Step 1

Open Outlook or Outlook Express. On the menu bar click Tools then Accounts.

Step 2

The Internet Accounts window is open. Next press the Add button then click on Mail.

Step 3

Type your name as you want it to appear on your outgoing emails. Click Next to continue.

Step 4

Type your full email address, which consists of your user name and @yourdomain.xyz, then click Next.

Step 5

From the drop down menu select POP3 as your incoming mail server type.

In the incoming and outgoing mail server text boxes type mail.yourdomain.xyz (If your domain name were example.com, then both my incoming and outgoing mail servers would be set to mail.example.com). Then, click Next.

Step 6

The Account name is your user name @aerodesigns.com.

In the Password field enter the password that was created for your account by AeroWeb.

Do not check the box Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).

Step 7

Click Next and then Finish. After you click Finish button, you should see the following window.

If not, go to the menu bar, click Tools, then Accounts. You should now see the Internet Accounts window. In this window, click on the account that you just setup to select it, then press the Properties button.

Step 8

On the top of the Properties box click on the Servers tab. On the bottom of the Servers tab check the box that says, My server requires authentication for Outgoing Mail Server.

Click Apply, then click OK. You are now finished configuring your Outlook e-mail account.
